Required Legal Education:
A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Bar Admission:
Active membership in the relevant state bar association.
Experience:
A minimum of 10 years of law practice experience, with a preference for a combination of law firm and in-house experience.
Skills:
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.
Business Acumen:
A commercial mindset and business acumen.
Negotiation Skills:
Exceptional negotiation skills with experience in managing complex deals and agreements.
Knowledge of Business Law:
A sound understanding and knowledge of commercial and corporate law.
Financial Knowledge:
A comfort level with some critical financial concepts, such as how to read a balance sheet, a profit and loss statement, and a cash flow statement.
Technology Knowledge:
An understanding of how technology can benefit clients, how to avoid the risks of using technology, and how clients use technology.
